Leopards find themselves sitting third from bottom on the log with 26 points, a spot and two points from the relegation zone with two matches left to play.
Kerr says they cannot afford to drop points away at AmaZulu and at home to Cape Town City and put themselves in a vulnerable position where they would need favours elsewhere.
The match with Usuthu is scheduled for the King Zwelithini Stadium on Saturday afternoon (15:00).
Kerr also adds that Lidoda Duvha remains united going into the last two games of the season.
He said this as he clarified that the club has discussed the King Ndlovu incident from the Maritzburg United loss last weekend.
The keeper bullishly took a free-kick at a critical stage of the game, fought with his teammates and swore at his coach.
Kerr says Ndlovu has apologised for his behavior to the club and the fans through him.
The 52 year old adds that everyone involved has learned from the incident and moved on. – Report by Lethabo Kganyago
