The Springboks are expected to bring traffic to a standstill in Johannesburg at lunchtime on Thursday, when they parade through the streets with the winning Rugby World Cup trophy.
Johannesburg Metro Police Spokesperson, Wayne Minaar, says they are prepared.
“We’ll have a huge contingent of officers from all the law enforcement agencies present escorting the Boks and assisting with traffic as the procession goes along the route through Braamfontein then on to the Nelson Mandela bridge through Braamfontein through the cbd into Soweto to the Orlando Stadium.
